Most novice farmers in growing and selling poultry meat, of course, start their business with broiler chickens. These birds are excellent for sale, their carcasses have special gastronomic advantages, they quickly grow and bring profit. However, this, as a rule, the knowledge of broiler chickens is exhausted by the majority.
So take a look at the exterior of the broiler. So what? Chicken like a chicken: small, fluffy, beautiful, smart. So say many or only a few specialists of poultry farmers, having seen this lump, they will say - this is a broiler. How do they understand? By massive physique and legs. Already in the first day of their baby can be distinguished from the young of a different species of birds, for example, hens.
The main task of such a chicken is the production of tasty, juicy and tender meat. Broiler is not a type of meat breed of chickens, it is a separate type, which applies to both chickens and turkeys, and even rabbits. Today, this name implies the result of crossing the best parental forms of different meat breeds. In fact, it is a hybrid with increased productivity. Differences from other breeds
In relation to the remaining meat breeds, broilers differ, first of all, in the maximum amount of white meat in a very short time. Of course, many modern breeds also have high gastronomic qualities of meat. But in terms of its production speed, hybrid birds are leading. In just 35 days on average, you can get a carcass weighing 1.9 kilograms.
Today broiler chickens differ from each other in different lines (crosses). For example, the cross code bb 500 is distinguished by high rates of survival, as well as high growth, even with low quality feed. Such birds are very economical.
As for the external differences from other breeds, everything is very simple. Chickens often do not have any particular attraction. These are ordinary light unremarkable birds. Most meat breeds, of course, are inferior in beauty.
They do not have beautiful colors, bright features, such as comb or decorative earrings. But such a bird is an ideal option for fast, high-quality dietary white meat. So, as they say, you will not be full of beauty.
