English advanced livestock complexes brought the first representatives of this breed from Africa and India. At the same time, as experts say, Indian animals made even greater contribution to the formation of a new breed than African ones. The brought males were crossed with local females, receiving the first copies of the English selection. The breed was finally formed and recognized in 1896.
