It seems that milk easily flows out of the udder, but how to crush a cow if she gave birth to her for the first time, or after calving, precious time was missed. This is a difficult question, because this procedure in each case requires an appropriate experience of a dairymaid and a very careful attitude to the cattle. With proper animal care, the farmer can count on successful systematic milking and, accordingly, on making a profit from the sale of milk.

Preparatory processes

The intensity of milk flow to the udder of a cow depends largely on the nutrition of the animal. Consumption of various vitamin feed and frequent walking in open space - almost the key to success. At the same time, it is very important for the Burenka that the breeder systematically monitors her state of health, and reacts quickly to unforeseen situations. This is especially true for heifers.

The organization of cow milking is not as simple as it may seem at first glance. There is no single postulate how this process should take place. The fact is that cows, like other animals, are individual creatures, with certain features of the organism.

A preparatory event contributing to a successful swim is considered to be the launch of a cow, that is, the cessation of milking before calving. It starts 65-70 days before immediate delivery, and during this time it is very important to monitor the amount of milk produced per day.

In case it varies from 2 to 2.5 liters, it is necessary that the milkmaid launches the cows urgently. When this mark is exceeded, it is necessary to begin to reduce the amount of succulent feed. Milking is reduced gradually to 1 time per day. After 4-7 days, the animal is no longer milked at all.

Differences in diets

There can be no single postulate on how to properly run a cow. Animal organisms are individual, so all cows during pregnancy must be observed separately.

The process also depends on the time of year. If it takes place in the summer, then the neglected cow is grazed in open space for no more than 4 hours a day, because the abundance of juicy green food contributes to a strong influx of milk. The launch can be considered complete when the udder "dried" and decreased in size. Further, the cow is in the dry period, at which its diet is changed. And this is the next part of the preparation for separation.

After giving birth, the farmer must exclude sour feeds for 5 days and give the animal food rich in fiber. The udder that has not yet been restored must be gently kneaded to avoid seals on it. At first, a calf is often admitted to the mother, which massages the mammary glands when sucking the nipple. The first few days of them colostrum is released, then - milk.

With systematic feeding and care, milking a cow should occur up to 5 times a day, but the volumes of milk produced can vary and these indicators must be monitored.

Key rules for stripping and udder massage

There are a number of rules that a farmer must follow when sowing cows. There are noted the basic methods of milking cows.

The action can be made with “tweaks”, that is, only two fingers will participate in the process: the thumb and index finger. A person periodically squeezes the nipples of a cow, and milk flows out of them. However, this technique can only be used by experienced farmers, because if it is used improperly, the mammary glands of the animal are at risk of suffering.

Milking a heifer can be done in a "fist" way, in which all the milkmaid's fingers are involved, but the hand itself must remain motionless. This technique is considered to be more difficult for a person from a physical point of view, but for a cow the risk of injury and discomfort is reduced.

The completeness of milk output is determined for the most part by the rate of compression of the farmer's fingers, the indicator is considered to be ideal from 70 to 90 times per minute.

Great attention should be paid also to the massage of the udder of the cows, which should occur according to the following rules:

  • manipulations are done with two hands;
  • a strong compression of the udder will not lead to a better result, but will only provoke the release of milk;
  • the massage should be systematic, only in this case there will be a result from it.

Distribution should be made from three to five times a day and at about the same time. If the farmer adheres to a well-developed schedule of feeding and milking cows, the result will be an increase in lactation of cows to 28%.

Final stages

The animal's body recovers quickly, so after two weeks, cow's milk should arrive as much as it was before launch. And in three or four months, its number will reach a maximum. An adult burenka, on average, produces volumes from 15 to 20 liters.

After full recovery of the udder, heifers are transferred to enhanced feeding. The rate of feed units in this period is 14.2 per day. It is important to control the weight of the animal during this period.

If we make a postulate on how to properly cow a cow, then it is important to take into account that the process of recovering the body of a cow after birth depends on many factors. It is impossible to design a single scheme for all animals, so the breeder’s actions must be thought out separately for each case.

Possible health problems

Under some circumstances, the cow will start to lose milk. There may be several reasons for this. If you omit the factor of the age of the animal, then most often this is due to illness. For example, mastitis develops. Inflammatory processes in the udder of the cow gives her pain and discomfort. At the first symptoms of this insidious disease, an appeal to the veterinarian is inevitable.

However, there is no unequivocal answer to the question of whether it is possible to carry out the stripping of cows after an illness, since the factors of recovery of the organism are individual. Some chicks quickly go on the mend, and others cure much more problematic. A farmer, in any case, should be patient and carefully take care of the cattle.
